The Oasis Live ’25 promoters have stated that an “examination of ticket sales is ongoing” and the results will be “passed to relevant law enforcement.”
They have mentioned that cancelled tickets will be re-released on Ticketmaster, and fans are cautioned against buying tickets from “unauthorised websites” as they could be “fraudulent.”
Over 50,000 tickets are expected to be cancelled, as reported by the BBC.
This decision comes after the band announced their return in 2025 for the first time since disbanding following a backstage altercation at the Rock en Seine festival in France. They are scheduled to perform in Manchester, Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, as well as embark on a tour of the US, Canada, and Australia.
A spokesperson for the promoters has stated that tickets believed to be in violation of the terms and conditions of the tour will be cancelled by Ticketmaster and See Tickets in the upcoming weeks.
Fans were advised to only purchase tickets from official resellers Ticketmaster and Twickets to avoid any issues with ticket cancellations.
Tickets were reportedly being resold on Viagogo for exorbitant prices, with some standing passes reaching up to £1,162 for the Wembley dates.
The controversy surrounding the ticket sales prompted the government and the UK’s competition watchdog to look into the issue of dynamic pricing. Ticketmaster clarified that they do not determine concert prices, as this responsibility lies with the event organizer.
