Tunng have recently released a new single called ‘Deep Underneath’, which is the second track to be unveiled from their upcoming album Love You All Over Again. This follows their lead single ‘Didn’t Know Why’. The album is scheduled to be released on January 24 by Full Time Hobby. Mike Lindsay, a member of the band, mentioned that the writing process for this album involved revisiting their first two albums to understand how they merged different genres such as Davy Graham, Pentangle, the Expanding Records catalogue, and the Wicker Man soundtrack. He stated, “Over the years, Tunng’s sound has evolved, but at its core, there is always a hint of what Sam and I created on that first album. Instead of exploring a new direction, we decided to go back to our roots, which, after all this time, felt like a new path.”
Lindsay further explained, “For Tunng to be successful, it has to be unexpected, peculiar, and unpredictable, and the new album encompasses all of that. It’s about Tunng coming back together as a family, staying true to our original sound, and sharing our love with all those who have been a part of our 20-year journey.”
