Sydney Sweeney Joins Cast of Colman Domingo’s Film ‘Scandalous’ About Sammy Davis Jr. – OutLoud! Culture

Sydney Sweeney has been cast in the upcoming Miramax film titled Scandalous. Colman Domingo will be directing the film, with Sweeney starring alongside him. The plot of the movie is still largely unknown, but production is set to begin after both Domingo and Sweeney finish filming the third season of HBO’s Euphoria.

According to Deadline, Scandalous is a “fast-tracked” drama that will explore the secret love affair between film star Kim Novak and singer and actor Sammy Davis Jr. The relationship between Novak and Davis Jr. was considered scandalous in 1957 due to it being an interracial relationship, which was heavily criticized at the time.

David Jonsson will portray Davis Jr. in the film, while Sweeney will take on the role of Novak. Additionally, Sweeney will also be serving as a producer on the project.
