Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott takes on the role of Blake, a husband and father from San Francisco. After his father mysteriously disappears and is presumed dead, Blake inherits his childhood home in rural Oregon. With his marriage to his high-powered wife Charlotte (played by Emmy winner Julia Garner) on the rocks, Blake convinces Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter Ginger. However, their peaceful retreat takes a terrifying turn when they are attacked by an unseen creature as they approach the farmhouse at night. Desperate to survive, they barricade themselves inside the home as the creature lurks outside. As the night progresses, Blake’s behavior becomes increasingly strange, leading Charlotte to question whether the true danger lies within their house.
