Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming remake of Cruel Intentions, a popular coming-of-age thriller drama originally released in 1999.
This new adaptation of the series takes place at Manchester College, a prestigious university near Washington, D.C. Reputation is everything at this institution, where fraternities and sororities hold significant influence, and two cunning step-siblings, Caroline Merteuil and Lucien Belmont, will stop at nothing to maintain their positions at the top of the competitive social hierarchy. When a troubling hazing incident jeopardizes the entire Greek Life system, Caroline and Lucien are willing to go to great lengths to protect their power and standing – even if it means manipulating Annie Grover, the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. As relationships are tested, hearts are broken, and long-hidden secrets are brought to light, viewers are taken into a modern-day royal court set at Manchester College.
