Mattel Developing Live-Action Film Based on “View-Master” – OutLoud! Culture

The upcoming View-Master live-action movie has been officially confirmed by Mattel, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The film will delve into the iconic 3-D image toy that has captured the hearts of fans since its introduction in 1939.

While specific details about the plot remain under wraps, the movie will draw inspiration from the View-Master toy, described by Mattel as a “stereoscopic viewing device that has been a popular childhood staple for generations.” With its 3-D image reels, the View-Master has transported children to imaginative worlds, sparking creativity and storytelling for adventure enthusiasts.
