New details have been revealed about Derek Cianfrance’s upcoming film “Roofman.” The movie features Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst, and Peter Dinklage, and is a collaboration between Paramount Pictures and Miramax. The current release date for “Roofman” is set for October 3, 2025.

“Roofman” is based on a true story and follows the journey of a former Army Ranger and struggling father who turns to robbing McDonald’s restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs, earning him the moniker ‘Roofman.’ After escaping from prison, he starts a new life while hiding in a toy store, where he falls in love with a single mother and her two daughters. However, his criminal past resurfaces, and a final robbery threatens to jeopardize his chance at redemption.
