Chris Martin plunges into gap on Melbourne stage following Olivia Rodrigo’s incident | Coldplay

The lead singer of the British rock band Coldplay recently had a scary moment during a performance in Melbourne. Chris Martin accidentally fell into a hole on the stage while interacting with the crowd at Marvel Stadium.

Fans captured the incident on video, showing Martin talking to the audience and pointing to posters before he took a step backward and disappeared into the hole. Luckily, someone inside the hole caught him just in time, preventing any serious injuries.

The crowd gasped in shock as Martin was caught and he quickly reassured everyone that he was okay. He thanked the person who caught him and mentioned that he had “the jitters” from the incident.

This mishap occurred not long after another artist, US pop star Olivia Rodrigo, also fell through a stage during a performance in Melbourne. During the final show of her Guts tour at Rod Laver Arena, Rodrigo ran into a hole on the stage while interacting with fans.

Fortunately, like Martin, Rodrigo was unharmed and even made light of the situation, calling the fall “fun” and joking about the unexpected hole in the stage.

After a short break, Coldplay will resume their tour in Sydney this week at Accor Stadium, with shows scheduled from Wednesday to Sunday.
