Caroline Polachek performs Radiohead’s ‘True Love Waits’ at Musée de l’Orangerie

Caroline Polachek recently performed a beautiful rendition of Radiohead’s ‘True Love Waits’ at the Musée de l’Orangerie. The performance took place in front of Claude Monet’s iconic Water Lilies. Polachek chose to sing the closing track from Radiohead’s album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ in this unique and stunning setting.

Expressing her gratitude, Polachek took to Instagram to thank Klaus Biesenbach and Olivier Berggruen for inviting her to perform at the Musée de l’Orangerie. The performance was part of an event celebrating the Heinz Berggruen collection at the Museum Berggruen and Neue Nationalgalerie exhibition during Art Basel Paris 2024. Polachek shared that singing in that space, surrounded by Monet’s paintings, was a truly moving experience for her.

Reflecting on the significance of ‘True Love Waits,’ Polachek noted that the song, much like Monet’s Water Lilies, had undergone numerous transformations over the years. She described how the song evolved through time, experiences, and challenges, ultimately becoming a powerful and poignant piece of music.
