Amazon MGM Studios Enlists Tom Holland and Austin Butler for ‘American Speed’ – OutLoud! Culture

Amazon MGM Studios has secured the rights to produce American Speed and has also signed on two major stars, Tom Holland and Austin Butler, to headline the film. The movie will be produced by Charles Roven, known for his work on American Hustle and Oppenheimer, with the script being written by Dan Wiedenhaupt.

According to Deadline, American Speed is based on the true story of the Whittington brothers, who were prominent racecar drivers in the 1980s. Two of the brothers were involved in the IMSA scandal of that time, where numerous drivers were accused of funding their racing endeavors through illegal means such as drug smuggling, money laundering, or tax evasion.
