Harris questions Trump’s fitness as he refuses to disclose health records

Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. President Donald Trump arrived at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport on October 18, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan, where he addressed the media. Despite ongoing questions about his health, Trump reiterated his stance on not releasing his current medical records, citing that he has already undergone five exams in the last four years and has shared enough information regarding his medical status.

When asked about releasing his health records, the 78-year-old Republican nominee stated that he has completed multiple exams and cognitive tests, achieving perfect scores. He emphasized that he is currently focused on campaigning against Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, and implied that updating his records is not a priority at the moment.

Trump’s campaign did not provide further comments on his remarks during his visit to Michigan. While he previously mentioned in August that he would be willing to release his medical records, no such documents have been made public by his campaign.

On the other hand, Harris, who will turn 60 on Sunday, released a detailed health report from her White House doctor on October 12. In response to Trump’s lack of disclosure, her campaign spokesman highlighted that the Republican nominee had released a letter from Dr. Bruce Aronwald and two memos from Rep. Ronny Jackson, Trump’s former White House physician.

As the election approaches, Harris has intensified her criticism of Trump’s refusal to provide a comprehensive health report. She has questioned his ability to lead the country, pointing to his absence from certain interviews and public events in the final weeks of the campaign.

During a rally in North Carolina, Harris raised concerns about Trump’s health and stability, suggesting that his campaign staff may be trying to hide his perceived weaknesses. She also expressed doubts about his mental fitness, labeling him as “unfit to serve” and “dangerous” in a recent interview.

Trump’s decision to cancel interviews and his behavior during a town hall event near Philadelphia have further fueled speculation about his overall well-being. Harris reacted humorously to the incident, indicating that she hopes he is doing well.
