According to a recent national survey conducted by Emerson College, likely voters are evenly split between supporting Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, with both candidates receiving 49% of the vote. This marks a slight shift from earlier in October, when Harris held a slight lead with 50% support compared to Trump’s 48%.
The survey also revealed that the economy remains the top issue for voters, with 45% citing it as their main concern. This was followed by immigration (14%), threats to democracy (14%), abortion access (7%), healthcare (6%), and crime (4%).
Conducted over the phone with approximately 1,000 likely voters, the survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
