China reminds EU of warning against holding separate discussions with electric vehicle manufacturers, as reported by Reuters.

China has once again warned the European Union about the potential consequences of conducting separate negotiations with electric vehicle companies while simultaneously engaging in talks with China. The Chinese commerce ministry stated that such actions could “shake mutual trust” and disrupt the overall negotiations.

This warning follows a similar one issued earlier this month and comes shortly after China and the EU agreed to hold additional technical negotiations regarding potential alternatives to tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles (EV).

Both parties have agreed that price commitments will remain a key component in resolving the dispute, and the ministry has confirmed that the next phase of consultations is now underway.

Last Friday, Beijing expressed its readiness to host the EU team in China at the earliest opportunity.
