SparkNC made a strategic investment by hiring a Director of Development and Business Partnerships to strengthen the connection between SparkLab students and industry partners. This move was aimed at empowering SparkLab Leaders to build strong local networks of partners who are invested in their community’s SparkLab.
At SparkNC, education goes beyond the confines of a traditional classroom. The organization is constantly on the move, spreading the spark of innovation wherever they go.
Together with their partners, including learners, SparkNC is working on defining key indicators of success to ensure that their focus remains on their shared vision for Spark Scholars. They are dedicated to creating leaders, labs, and learning experiences that bring this vision to life. In their first year, they were able to reach 1,500 learners across North Carolina, many of whom are now serving as design partners and ambassadors. SparkNC is committed to continuing to learn alongside their scholars and sharing their journey until their vision of learner-centered, competency-based, and industry-relevant learning becomes a reality for all young people.
