The wire ‘can’t be more than a metre away’ from Janet Owen’s home and she is worried it will hit her home during strong winds. The wire was installed to service the property next to Janet’s home. A BT spokesperson stated that an engineer will check the positioning of the overhead cable and move it if necessary. Janet, who lives on Stroma Gardens in Urmston, was upset to find the wire across her front bedroom window. She had a conversation with her neighbor, who mentioned that BT had originally planned to install the wire at the back of the property. Janet finds it unacceptable to have a wire on her property and doesn’t want to keep asking her neighbor to contact BT.
