Man fighting for his life after crash in Trafford

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have stated that around 7pm yesterday (Saturday, October 19), the man was driving on Redclyffe Road, near Trafford Park, when the incident occurred.

It is suspected that the man had a medical episode while driving, leading to him crashing into a lamppost.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment where he remains in a “potentially life-threatening condition” according to the police.

At approximately 7pm this evening (Saturday, October 19) on Redclyffe Road, a male driver experienced a suspected medical episode while driving, colliding with a lamppost.

Officers are currently investigating the incident and a scene remains in place.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is asking for anyone who may have dashcam, mobile phone, or CCTV footage to come forward and assist with their investigation.
