Janelle Monae transformed into the endearing alien

Janelle Monae donned an ET the Extra-Terrestrial costume from the 1982 film, complete with impressive prosthetics, for a Halloween special on The Jennifer Hudson show.

Known for her elaborate costumes, she shared with Hollywood Reporter: “Halloween is a joyful time for me, as it has been since childhood.

“It sparks a conversation about spreading joy and happiness.

“Bringing Halloween and creative experiences is heartwarming, not challenging. I do this because it fulfills my heart.”

Lupita Nyong’o brought Halloween to Broadway

Lupita Nyong’o traded trick or treating for the opening night of a Broadway musical in New York City on Thursday.

But she still embraced the spirit by sporting a ghostly-white wig and contact lenses.

Pixie Lott dressed up as an Aperol Spritz

It’s rare to feel thirsty from Halloween costumes, but Pixie Lott nailed it this year by dressing as a stylish Aperol Spritz cocktail.

The 33-year-old completed her look with an orange slice as a hat.

Lizzo wins the prize for the most relevant Halloween costume this year.

She dressed as a fake weight loss drug, inspired by a recent South Park episode poking fun at her body positivity message.

The costume also served as a response to rumors about her weight loss being linked to the drug Ozempic.

The singer shared on Instagram in September: “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after five months of weight training and calorie deficit…”

Fans may recognize her vibrant green hair and monochrome suit from the 1988 film, or its recent sequel.

Rather than imitating the main character, she described her costume as “Beetlejuice’s unruly niece”.
