He aimed to transform the government into a tool for his personal agenda, punishing his critics while rewarding his supporters. He was poised to act as a “dictator” from Day 1.
The voters granted him the authority to carry out his plans.
This was not a seizure of power through force, but rather through a democratic mandate. Now, America teeters on the brink of an authoritarian form of governance previously unseen in its long history.
After defeating Vice President Kamala Harris, who would have made history as the first female U.S. president, Mr. Trump will bring his own unprecedented achievements to the White House: being the only president convicted of numerous crimes, facing accusations of many more, and having been impeached twice.
