Seth Brundle, a brilliant yet eccentric scientist, tries to impress investigative journalist Veronica Quaife by revealing his groundbreaking research on matter transportation. Despite skepticism from the scientific community, Brundle achieves success in his experiments. However, a fateful error during one of his teleportation tests results in a horrifying transformation that changes him forever.
