Lionsgate has officially announced that Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz will be starring in a new film directed by Marc Webb titled Day Drinker. The film is a thriller that follows the story of a cruise ship bartender who crosses paths with a mysterious day drinker, leading both characters into a criminal underworld with surprising connections.
Adam Fogelson, the chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, described Day Drinker as a movie that “combines a highly commercial concept with wildly outrageous twists and turns, all set in an incredible world.”
