Michael Fassbender Stars in the Political Thriller ‘The Agency’ – OutLoud! Culture

Paramount has released the first trailer for the upcoming political thriller titled The Agency, starring Michael Fassbender. The film is set to debut next month.

Based on true stories and inspired by current events, this French espionage thriller follows the daily operations and missions of agents from France’s external security service, the country’s equivalent of the CIA. The story revolves around intelligence officer Guillaume Debailly, also known as ‘Malotru,’ who is unexpectedly called back to Paris after spending six years undercover in Syria. As he attempts to reconnect with his daughter, ex-wife, and colleagues, Debailly takes a huge risk by rekindling his relationship with his married lover, Nadia, who may have her own secrets that could compromise the agent.
