Maude Apatow Makes Directorial Debut with Feature Film ‘Poetic License’ – OutLoud! Culture

Cooper Hoffman, Leslie Mann, and other actors have been chosen to star in Maude Apatow’s first feature film as a director, Poetic License. The film revolves around a woman who becomes the focal point of attention for two competitive best friends. Alongside Hoffman and Mann, Andrew Barth Feldman and Nico Parker have also been announced as part of the cast.

Poetic License tells the story of Liz, a former therapist who is on the verge of being an empty nester. She finds herself caught in the middle of a rivalry between two close friends and college seniors, Sam and Ari. Liz is forced to reevaluate her life as the boys’ friendship begins to unravel in a heated competition for her affection.
