Romy and Sampha have collaborated on a new song called ‘I’m on Your Team’. The talented British musicians worked on the track with co-producer and composer Thomas Bartlett. The song is accompanied by a video filmed at the London-based artist workers’ cooperative Not/Nowhere. You can watch it below.
Speaking about the song, Romy shared, “It’s a love song but with honest and truthful lyrics. It reflects the idea that we have experienced magic and dreaminess together, but now we have gone through challenges and are putting in the effort to make things work.”
Sampha added his thoughts, saying, “I believe in the concept of being part of a team, where we support each other and in turn, create an even stronger bond.”
In 2023, Romy released her debut solo album, Mid Air. Sampha’s most recent album, Lahai, was also released last year. Earlier this year, the duo performed a cover of André 3000’s song together.
