Andrea Iervolino, the producer known for films like Ferrari and Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend, has revealed that he is currently working on a biopic centered around the prestigious luxury car brand, Bugatti. In addition to this project, Iervolino is also involved in the production of a Maserati biopic, in which he has enlisted the talents of veteran actor Anthony Hopkins to portray an Italian financier. The film is being directed by Bobby Moresco.
According to reports from Deadline, the Bugatti biopic will focus on the life of Ettore Bugatti, the founder of the renowned luxury car company. Ettore established Bugatti in the city of Molsheim, but the company faced financial struggles following the deaths of Ettore’s son, Jean, in 1939 and Ettore himself in 1947.
The biopic is scheduled to begin filming in Italy next year and will feature a diverse international cast.
