Netflix’s Sci-Fi Movie ‘The Electric State’ Features Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown – OutLoud! Culture

Netflix has finally revealed the first teaser trailer for The Electric State, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The film is set to be available for streaming in 2025.

Set in an alternate, retro-futuristic version of the 1990s, the movie follows Michelle, a teenage orphan navigating life in a society where sentient robots resembling cartoons and mascots, who once lived peacefully among humans, are now in exile after a failed uprising. Michelle’s perception of the world is turned upside down one night when she is visited by Cosmo, a sweet and mysterious robot seemingly controlled by Christopher, Michelle’s supposedly deceased genius younger brother.

Determined to find her beloved sibling, Michelle embarks on a journey across the American southwest with Cosmo, reluctantly teaming up with Keats, a low-rent smuggler, and his humorous robot companion, Herman. As they venture into the Exclusion Zone, a secluded area in the desert where robots now reside independently, Keats and Michelle encounter a diverse group of new animatronic allies and begin to uncover the sinister forces behind Christopher’s disappearance.
