Eddie Murphy in the Works on Biopic Film About George Clinton – OutLoud! Culture

Eddie Murphy and director Bill Condon are teaming up once again for a biopic about George Clinton. This collaboration follows their work together on the film Dreamgirls in 2006, which also featured Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé Knowles, Danny Glover, and Jennifer Hudson. Deadline has reported that Murphy and Condon are now working on a new biopic centered on the life of George Clinton.

The script for the film is being penned by Virgil Williams. The movie will explore the untold story of George Clinton, a pioneer of funk music, and his journey to establishing the influential musical collective Parliament-Funkadelic. Clinton and his band were known for their unique blend of outlandish sci-fi themes, surreal sounds, and psychedelic performances, which redefined music and culture.
