Doves Unveil Upcoming Album, Debut Latest Single ‘Renegade’

Doves have recently announced the upcoming release of their new album, Constellations for the Lonely, which is scheduled to drop on February 14 via EMI North. Serving as the follow-up to their 2020 album, The Universal Want, the band’s latest offering is spearheaded by the single ‘Renegade’, which is now available for listening.

Reflecting on the current state of affairs and the experiences of individuals in recent years, Andy Williams, the band’s drummer, vocalist, and co-songwriter, shared his thoughts on the track ‘Renegade’. In a press statement, he remarked, “Looking at everyone’s lives over recent years, and considering the news at the moment, ‘Renegade’ feels a lot more loaded in retrospect. We wanted to go for a dystopian feel, thinking about Manchester itself over the next century or so. A totally imaginary thing… Blade Runner set in our home city.”
